It's FRIDAY!!!  I can finally say yes to my keychain :D
Picture
I don't know about where you live, but here in Colorado, the weather is CRAZY!!  We went from about 60 degrees to this:
Picture
Too much white - I was getting ready for summer....

Oh right, this is a food blog, not the weather channel ;)
So, some recent eats:
Picture
Steamed broccoli, sweet potato with coconut butter and whole wheat noodles drizzled with goat milk butter.  I used to ONLY eat spaghetti when it was covered in butter!  I hated red sauce.  Now, I love both! :D
Picture
Greek yogurt with carob chips.  I LOOOOVE carob chips!!  Of course, it's no replacement for chocolate (there is no replacement for chocolate!), but they're delicious in their own way!

And now for the star of the post:

Peanutty Pasta

Ingredients:
2 oz pasta of choice (I used this pasta:)
Picture
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 tablespoon Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter (or other chocolate peanut butter or almond butter)
2 tablespoon almond milk

Directions:
Cook the pasta according to package directions.  Meanwhile, whisk together the remaining ingredients in a small bowl.  The result should look something like this:
Picture
Pour you creamy, mousey goodness onto your cooked and drained pasta...
Picture
...and mix 'er up!
Picture
I followed in Katie's footsteps and used chopsticks!  Katie, your footsteps are SO much fun!!  I will be following them quite often in the future ;)
Sweet pasta for breakfast??  I couldn't ask for more!  The bowl of goodness above will be the star of many more breakfasts to come!

The daily question: Have you ever had pasta for breakfast?
What about chopsticks?  Have you ever used them for "non-Chinese" meals?  (I didn't mean have you ever eaten them for breakfast - that would be a little.... odd?  ;)

OMG totally agree about carob chips!! They're no replacement for chocolate but I love eating them as their own thang;) (plus I can eat double the chocolate then right?!) That sweet potato looks DELICIOUS! I love them with almond butter too!

Never thought to have pasta for breakfast. But then again I have heard of chocolate pasta so I guess sweet pasta dishes happen. And yes, carob = love!

Really random, but your key chain reminded me of this site http://isitfriday.biz/ Just in case someone needs help remembering what day it is. ;)

Your great grandmother Leah used to make peanut butter macaroni. She would stir butter and cream then add a generous amount of peanut butter into her hot cooked macaroni
